High-porosity materials made of aluminum and nickel are characterized by high porosity (up to 50%), adjustable size and pore distribution. They can be used as filters (there is also a possibility of being applied on the surface of catalyst pores, which broadens the scope of their use) and to produce electrodes in accumulator batteries. The sintered shallow microspheres of glass and oxides, which were sintered while being loose, can be used as heat insulators, shock-absorbing materials, and consolidated filling agents for light-weight composites with the polymer matrix.
