Material Engeneering and Technology of Thin Film Structures Including Nanograde Optic Structures, Ferroelectric and Electro-Optical Films. In the framework of a joint project by NUST MISiS and Scientific Research Institute Polus named after Stelmakh, a new technology of obtaining nano grade thin film structures was developed. These functional materials when used as mirrors or beamsplitters or polarizer or modulator or differently, improve substantially and sometimes dramatically performance capabilities of optical and lasar systems. For example, introduction of nano grade optical elements in aviation and space inductry improved the energy efficiency of lasar distanse measuring and location devices by 30-40%, increase the delicacy of detecting and tracking device by 10-15%, decrease 2-3 times mass dimensional properties of high presision positioning station.
