TRAJECTORY CONTROLLED RADIAL SHEAR DEFORMATION FOR DEEPLY STRUCTURED METAL IN LONG PRODUCTS

CONTROL FACTOR – angle of ascent of screw trajectories in rolling. OUTCOME - in-depth formation at all levels of metallophysical structure including nano-sized by; - Formation of locally expanding current tubes in integrated converging deformation zone; - Slowing down of metal outer layers movement with acceleration of central layers; - Targeting 3d macro shear by multidirectional flows. Formation of locally expanding currents tubes (diffusors) in integrated converging (confusor) deformation zone is one of fundamental peculiarities of RSD with controlled trajectories. The advantages of this method lay in this particular zone which is absent in other stationary process of long bars production such as longitudinal rolling, pressing and even tube screw rolling. Tests proved the possibility to obtain bars with sub microcrystalline and nanostructured metal condition.
