Major Scientific Advances
:
A.    Zhukov is one of the most known experts on the physics of magnetic wire. He devoted many years to the study of amorphous and nanocrystalline soft magnetic wires and fields published his most cited works in these areas. From 2010 onwards the magnetic wire, developed by Zhukov and his colleagues began to use in the extra-sensitive magnetic field sensors for cell telephones. In 2001 A. Zhukov reported on fast domain wall ropagation in magnetic wires. In 2006, Zhukov reported in Advanced Functional Material on stress sensitive impedance. In recent years, the main focus of research and studies done on Zhukov, a giant magntoimpedansa for magnetic sensors and on the dynamics of domain boundaries.  In recent works were started research of magnetic shape memory wires.

Research Projects and Contracts:

A.    Zhukov coordinated 2 project  of the Spanish Ministry of Science  (MICINN), 3 projects of the Government of the Basque country (Saiotek), 2 projects within MANUNET-2007-Basque (ERA-NET FP7), MANUNET-2010-Basque (ERA-NET FP7) programme. A. Zhukov participated in  1 project under the European programmes of FP7.
